Verb Forms (รูปกริยา) ที่ใช้ใน Toeic (2)

สำหรับ Verbal นั้นเป็นคำที่มองคล้ายกริยาแต่ไม่ใช่กริยา และไม่สามารถทำหน้าที่เป็นกริยาหลักได้ รูปของ Verbals นั้นอาจเป็น Gerunds, Infinitives (to-verb) และ Participle ตัวอย่าง

Verbal	Verb
Signing (Gerund)   to find  (Infinitive)   written  (Participle)	-         She is signing a new contract.      -         I find something to eat.      -         The letter is written by him.

นอกจากนั้นแล้วรูปกริยา (Verb Forms) จะมีรูปของกริยาปกติหรือ Simple Forms หรือรูปกริยาที่เป็นพื้นฐาน ซึ่งเป็นกริยาช่อง 2 หรือ Infinitive ที่ไม่มี to นำหน้า และมักจะใช้ตามหลังกริยาช่วย ดังตัวอย่างในตาราง

สำหรับรูปกริยาของ Simple Forms จะถูกใช้ในอนุประโยค that clauses หลังกริยาและคุณศัพท์บางคำ (ในตาราง) และรูปกริยานี้บางทีจะเรียกกันว่า Present Subjective ดังตัวอย่าง

Verbs	Adjectives
advise, ask, insist, demand, purpose, recommend, suggest, urge, propose  etc.	important, imperative, essential, necessary, vital, better, mandatory  etc.
ตัวอย่าง       -          I suggest that we take a 20 minute break.       -         It is imperative that we close this deal before midnight.

นอกนั้นแล้วกริยารูป Simple Forms ยังจะใช้ตามหลังกริยา Causative Verbs เช่น make, take, let ฯลฯ เพื่อแสดงว่าใครให้คนอื่นทำอะไรหรือทำสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใด เช่น

-         He had his assistant type the report.

-         The manager let the employee go home.
